We were approached by Icon Magazine to contribute towards their monthly feature 'Rethink', whereby design agencies are asked to take something they think needs updating, has been designed poorly or has a problem that needs resolving. We chose to 'rethink' the Holy Bible.
Our approach focused on taking how the Bible currently stands as piece of content-heavy printed literature and transforming it into an accessible online app, available to download and carry with you everywhere. We decided to create a series of icons, which summarised each internal book, these would then be used as simple indexing system allowing the user to explore its contents easily.
The app also had a number of built-in features, one being geo-location for places of worship as well as an option which allowed the user to receive randomised passages and excerpts from the Bible by shaking their mobile device.Share
